Pippa Holt describes the kaftans as holiday heroes. “They pack small, work day and night, on a beach, in a city, with or without a belt," she explains. Handmade by artisan weavers, No.123 is new for Resort 2019. The pink and olive colours of the threads are dyed from natural processes using vegetables and flowers.

Stylist  Pippa Holt launched her eponymous line of kaftans which celebrates her love of indigenous textiles, far-flung travel and beautiful, original attire after finding nothing to wear in the searing heat while living in Houston. Collaborating with a group of artisans in a remote part of Mexico, together they have created a colourful collection for the beach and the city. Head weaver Felipa has over fifty years of experience and along with her daughter, Angelica and a group of artisans, together they create one off pieces following age-old traditions. It takes one month to make each unique kaftan and, due to the way they are hand-crafted, no two are the same.
Holt’s editorial background as a stylist at British Vogue, a degree in fashion design combined with her love of travel is very much evident in her collection. Growing up on the beaches of Australia, she was inspired by her grandmother's style of tropical dressing at her seaside holiday home on The Great Barrier Reef. I have always loved dressing for holidays and visiting local craft in markets wherever I have travelled. I like to think I have carried that passion through into creating my collection of kaftans.”
